Extended Metaphor- A Dog

You might think I am just
a fifteen-year-old by
with brown hair
and green eyes
But I know I am greater
much greater than that
not a roller coaster or cat
not a mouse or a bat
A dog
a hobbled dog
when I am demented
or feeling alone
When I go home and pout
listening to a feel-good howl at night
I am a dog hog-tied
not moving
puppies whining
wanting to play
But when I break loose
my dog wakes its paws again
puppies yelp with joy
and show their wrestling skills once again
I become a wrestlemania dog
with fierce, gentle attacks
surprising everyone with my fierce gentle moves
I jump and torpedo towards them
I am constantly moving
until I get exhausted
and thats when wrestlemania ends
I take a power nap and start over again
and again
and again
The brown haired, green eyed boy
is a dog
A hobbled, tied, fierce yet gentle, dog

Cell Phone Effects

Texting and driving, texting and walking, and texting and working all have one thing in common texting. Texting while doing anything is a distraction for the fast moving world and makes everyone less efficient. Weather texting and driving or texting and working cell phones have affected people’s lives for as long as they’ve been around by distracting the young short attention spanned teenagers but also by creating an effective way of communicating on the go for the traveling business men.
Cell phones affect teenagers lives by distracting them from what they’re doing like a cat and a ball of yarn. For example, hearing the “PING” of the cell phone while driving will automatically take already lazy-eyed teens eyes off the road. Whenever teens check text messages they will take their eyes off the road quicker than a jack rabbit, or whenever the teens have to text back their best friend they will take their eye off the road then “CRASH” run into a tree. Cell phones have affected everyone, but especially teens, lives by forcing them to take their eye off the road. Also cell phones have affected teens lives by distracting them from school work. To illustrate cell phones will cause distractions in the classroom by tempting them to play a new, awesome, hilarious game. When teens get the fierce temptation to play the new game it distracts them from what the teacher is teaching. When the game just received a new update and the student just has to try the new graphics that are better than real life. Cell phones have affected school students by having almost too many hip, fun, new games to play during school.
For adults cell phones have affected their lives by creating an effective way of communicating. For example, when doing a business deal a businessman doesn’t have to be in the same room as their associate so it is as efficient as a computer. When a businessman has to close the best, biggest, highest paying deal of the year it is important not to have to be in the same room to close it. Also it creates effective communication for day-to-day conversations by talking on the phone while working on something else which wouldn’t happen in a meeting in a meeting room is as boring as a car trip through the middle of nowhere. Cell phones have affected business men’s lives by creating an environment that makes it easier to close a deal faster than a cheetah.
Though texting and driving isn’t needed in our world that’s how it is and is affecting our life every day. And will be for years to come.

Dealing with Extreme Emotion

Bad break ups, passing loved ones, winning state, and graduating college are all extreme emotion causing occurrences. Dealing with those emotions will define who emotion filled teens are either great or horrific. Weather dealing with a break up or passing loved ones the importance of dealing with extreme emotion is it can help men/women trust each other and give people a better frame of mind.
The importance of dealing with extreme emotion is it helps in trusting other people. To illustrate, working together lets you see a stressed out hard working man’s/woman’s true colors. When first meeting the stressed out man/woman their true identity might not be shining through, it might be hidden in their personal safe. It is important to deal with the stress so that you can be the best person you can be. In addition, extreme emotion and dealing with it lets others get to know the person trapped inside the safe. Emotion is like the key to a door and behind that door is deep dark secrets. Once you figure out who a person really is you tend to trust them more. Either working together or learning about people dealing with extreme emotion helps build respectful, honorable, and trusting relationships.
A better frame of mind also comes from dealing with extreme emotion. For example, if people deal with emotion they can become smart as an owl, if done right. Emotions can “hack” into people’s mind and make him/her go crazier than a caffeine filled crazy man. If dealt with right a better frame of mind will come along with a Einstein like smart self. Therefore, being smart will make men and women alike have a better frame of mind. Furthermore, dealing with emotions can make someone learn about himself. Even you may not know your true self because you try and act as cool as ice, but when dealing with emotions people can learn the hidden secrets about themselves. Emotion can cause horrible things to happen, but if dealt with right then people can have a better, smarter frame of mind.
Break ups, passing loved ones, winning state in sports, and graduating college always come with extreme emotion, and dealing with that emotion will reveal emotion filled teens true colors. It is important to deal with this emotion, the right way, so that it is possible to live life as who you are and not as your perfect-stud idol.

Advantages/ Disadvantages of Long Life

Amazing stories, great tips, and long life, for these reasons John visits his grandparents every weekend. He wants to learn what life was like 60, 70, 80 years ago, and what better way than from the people who lived through JFK’s presidency, the Vietnam war, and the Regonomics era. Whether visiting grandparents or being one, living a long, action packed, life is an advantage in that life-stories are passed on to the next generation, but disadvantages of long life can be horrific if it causes suffering every long drawn out day.
Without long life, past generations couldn’t educate future generations with their own experiences. For example, without the experienced elderly, young kids wouldn’t know what life was like before they were born. Long life is a big part in why we know so much about history. Because parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents tell stories about their life the young knowledge of the, rookie-at-life, child grows like a beanstalk. In addition, life is full of books that carry events of a lifetime, and a long, event-filled, life creates a library of history and experiences to pass on to future generations. This advantage of long life shows that long life will create a personal history from a different viewpoint than conventional history books. Whether telling stories or reading a personal history book long life is an advantage for both future and past generations.
On the other hand, long life is a disadvantage if never ending, stressful, painful suffering is involved. To illustrate, a life full of brutal wars, devastating terror attacks, and near death experiences can cause nightmares as scary as zombies. Suffering, though horrible, is one of the few disadvantages of long life. In addition, a long life will take a toll on old grandparents, like Johns, bones. An action packed life is hard on bones and can cause suffering in the future. Because of images stamped into the mind, experiences, like the great depression, can haunt, with horrific stories, people every day and long living people get nonstop, creepy, keep you awake, images every day, also action packed life can cause bone suffering.
Luckily for John, his grandparents have lived a long happy life, and he can hear their stories without their wincing from the painful memories. Therefore, long life has many advantages, but like everything a few disadvantages.

Results of Obesity

Results of Obesity

Obesity is having an excess amount of fat. It can cause many effects like: high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.

Extra fat needs oxygen and nutrients which  needs more blood. That increases the workload in the heart.  More blood means more pressure on artery walls. therefore you have high blood pressure.

Obesity causes insulin resistance which regulates blood sugar. when there is resistance the blood sugar rises.  Even when you aren’t very obese you still could get diabetes.

Hard arteries are found 10 times more in obese people than in healthy people. Fat deposits build up in arteries that supply the heart. Blood clots can form in narrow arteries. Narrowed arteries and reduced blood flow to the heart can cause chest pain or heart attack.

Therefore you shouldn’t become obese or you will become susceptible to diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure.
